Autumn colors warm the heart.

On a trip to New Hampshire to visit friends, I was put in charge of finding a short nature hike. Wow, did I pick the right place: two fabulous foliage finds for us.

First, we hiked a few miles at Chamberlain-Reynolds Memorial Forest in Center Harbor. You can imagine my delight when I saw, “swamp boardwalk.” Aah! The front of this card is that boardwalk in all of its autumnal glory.

One the way back to our friends’ home, we decided to do a quick stop at Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough. We walked up to the Carriage House Restaurant and admired the spectacular view of Lake Winnipesaukee. Colors were popping all around us.
